Tin Hau Temple & Lin Fau Kung Temple
Two of the most famous temples on the island can be found near Victoria Park. The first, Tin Hau Temple, is near Tin Hau MTR and was built in the 18th century to honor the patron goddess of fishermen. The second temple is the Lin Fa Kung Temple which is quite an unusual shape with an octagonal design. This buddhist temple was built in the 17th century to honour the Goddess of Mercy and renovation work has been progressing for the last few years.
Happy Valley Race Course
For fans of horse racing, Causeway Bay also has the Happy Valley Race Course which is open from September to June and admission price is HK $10. Like most race courses, most of the visitors are more interested in gambling than the horse race itself. The Happy Valley Race Course was built in 1846 and there is also the modern Hong Kong Racing Museum on site which commemorates the history of this course.
